technically the ruins don't revive anybody because they are broken. the old lady was only able to make a 'clone' of herself even after sacrificing several people.

What I don't quite understand is why the hotel owner looked no older than 20 years before but his wannabe daughter-in-law looked much older than him. Did she pay with her lifespan too?

ol lady probably didn't make the clone till she realized the revival would take too long. so she made the younger clone to stick her memories into.

howso? the 1990's anime departed from the Light Novels not too deep into the first season. the entire second season is anime original content as well.

this version starting in S1 back in January 2020 is adapting the Light Novels fairly well. so don't worry about the 1990's anime, you can watch it just for the fun of it.

and? so what? i just looked it up on gogo and they are all clearly marked with their release year. majutsushi-orphen is marked 1998. majutsushi-orphen-revenge is marked 1999. MAJUTSUSHI ORPHEN HAGURE TABI is marked 2020. and so on.

huh? rewrite that a little more intelligibly? i already own the 1990's version on DVD. i've watched it more than once so i am well aware of what it is, what it is named, how many episodes, when the seasons were released etc. anybody who can get on MyAnimeList will ALSO know there are only TWO versions of this anime. the 1990's one, and the 2020's one.
